Application. APPLICATION: Your character: Full name: Claire Samantha Hampton Age: 28 Birthday: February 15th, 1980 Occupation: Heiress. She has no real job. Location: New York City, New York
Literary Character: Cleopatra, from Antony and Cleoparta Ability: If she betrays a lover, they amazingly seem to want to take her back. Though, sometimes, enough is enough. Link to source: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Antony_and_Cleopatra
Personality: Yes, the job description may make you think that she's a spoiled princess, and really? You're probably right in the assumption deep down. She covers it up though by just being an outright arrogant bitch, really. Funny how those two traits often coincide. She talks down to people, and always finds flaws in others, and never hesitates to point them out. It doesn't matter if she's your friend or not. The girl used to be the Queen of Egypt. She’s definitely going to find it utterly difficult to, well, be humble. She’s gorgeous. She has money, and dammit, she’s going to flaunt it.
She does have some good traits though. She’s ambitious. If she were to be sorted at Hogwarts? Anyone who talked to her for more than at least two seconds wouldn’t hesitate to say she’d be in Slytherin, and that’s not always a bad thing. She’s got goals, drive, and nobody can really discourage her from getting what she wants. She also can be really fun to be around. She has a playful side. You just have to be around her enough to get to it.
History: Claire was born to be rich. She was the second of two daughters born to Chloe and Neal Hampton. Her mother was the ever (not so) doting housewife, or more specifically, trophy wife. She was there to be pretty and spend her husband’s money. Her father, on the other hand, was a businessman from a long line of businessmen. Her father inherited the family business, the Hampton coffee franchise. Since the Hamptons didn’t have a boy, it was going to have to be passed down, for the first time, to the hands of a girl. Claire or her sister. (Sounds like heirs to a throne or something!) Claire, needless to say, lead a very privileged life. She went to the best private schools, had the best clothes, was gorgeous, popular. Basically the boys wanted to be with her, and the girls wanted to be her. Once she graduated high school, she decided she wanted to undertake the business. Her sister went a different route, much to her parent’s dismay. She attended a college in New York, majoring in business. While there, she met a man who fell in love with her enough that he asked her to marry him. Claire accepted, but she couldn’t stay faithful. He would keep taking her back, but she would continue to have adulterous relations. He divorced her after five short years of marriage, having finally had enough. The press, of course, had a field day with it, but that didn’t phase Claire. She was able to move on and continue to spend her family’s money. Nice life, right?
